I think that the MRI to test for MS is a wise choice. The symptoms of numbness and tingling and very common first symptoms of MS. Plus you're at the perfect age for MS to.

My first symptom was a numbness/tingling in my left shoulder, then a few days later moved to my left elbow, then finally ended up in my left hand.

However, something that would be very wise to do is to ask your Doctor to run a Lymes Disease test (simple blood) test. Lymes mimmics MS in the early stages. Lymes many times is not tested until it's finally the last thing that they think of testing for. But if it's lymes, in an early stage, anti-biotics will help.

Otherwise, then finding out it's MS, is not a welcome thing, but it's much better to know that you do have MS then just to wonder, plus you'll be able to take action against it.

Good Luck to you.

Please come to our MS Support Group on Yahoo Groups. It's called "ms20something" all ages are welcome, it's not just people in their 20s.
