Why did your mother stop taking Avonex? It is quite common with relapsing-remitting MS that the plaques in the brain disappear as the body heals itself, but this does not mean that the MS is dormant or that there won't be any new attacks.

If your mother has relapsing-remitting MS, my advise would be that she starts with the medicine again, whether it's Avonex, Copaxone, Rebif, Betaseron, LDN or, if necessary, Tysabri.

Stress can worsen MS, so try to ensure that your mother has as little stress in her life as possible.

i dont know
but with luck your mum will live a normal and happy life try to stay close to her and help around as much as you can and try not dont argue with your family try to give her moral support

i suppose you just have to be carefull and make sure your mum keeps up with her medication
i suppose you know what to do if she has an episode

people dont know how serious MS is
but scientists are studying it now and maybe if your lucky they might be able to cure it
most people with MS can live as long as uneffected people and some even live near normal lives

so good luck and stay strong
