What causes people with Multiple Sclerosis to get Leukemia as well?
My mom has been living with MS for the past four years. The doctors keep prescribing her medications that are supposed to be helping her with the pain, progression of the disease, and some of the symptoms. However, so far each medication has caused something to go wrong with her body. Such as one of the shots she was on was destroying her liver and kidneys, and now some of the procedures that they have done on her have caused her to develop Leukemia. I don’t understand why this is happening. What is causing all these things to go wrong with her?
If you have any information please share it with me because we need all the help we can get.
I don’t want to lose my mom she’s the only person I have left.

I am very sorry that your mother is ill. I have multiple sclerosis also. Multiple sclerosis does not cause leukemia. There is no known link between the two. But having a serious disease does not mean you will not get another serious disease. My dad had arthritis, heart disease and cancer. In the future I may develop another disease. Unfortunately that is just the way that things can go. On the other hand, every medicine you take can cause another health problem to appear. The medicines we take are processed by the liver. The liver can break down from processing all the medicines taken over a period of time. One of my friends had cancer and decided to undergo chemotherapy. As a result of the chemotherapy, part of her heart shut down. A few years later, she died from heart failure as a consequence. So the therapy for one disease can cause another. Talk with your Mom, someone in your family or your mom’s doctor about the side effects of her medications. Share your feelings with your friends and family.
im srry about ur mom. my mom has cancer and i have to live with the fact that every single day she might die. idk whats cauing them for ur mom but u should take her to a doctor.
