Just type in brain lesions, and you will see that there are dozens of reasons why someone can have brain lesions. There are also more than 25 diseases and conditions that mimic MS so a neurologist who specializes in MS is your best bet. General neurologists should send you to an MS clinic where the neurologists are more familiar with MS and what the lesions that are indicative of the disease look like. The very best of luck to you!
Most of us who have MS lead a relatively normal life. So if you are diagosed, there is no reason to push the panic button.

Most likely, it is multiple sclerosis.
The diagnosis cannot be confirmed without doing these tests (there are many other forms of demyelinating disease). Even then, the doctor cannot say "It's definitely MS" unless this has not been your first episode, or until you get another attack.

From the symptoms you have, in addition to the lesions on your brain on the MRI. Unfortunately, it sounds exactly like MS.

However, finding this out now is a good thing, because the sooner you find out, the better off you are. The sooner you can start taking action against it to attempt to slow dow it's progress.
