Brain MRI Reading Assistance?
My daughter is 37 and just had a brain MRI. Symptoms are memory loss, hot flashes (pre menopause ruled out) and left arm and hand tingling. They said they need to do an MRA to see if it is a tumor or MS. Any thoughts on this reading? What does this mean? Thank you so much in advance.
Nonenhancing area of increased T2 weighted signal within the left parletooccipital periventricular white matter abutting the posterior aspect of the trigone and lateral aspect of the splenium of corpus callosum measuring 2cm with no associated bleed or significant mass effect and no evidence for diffusion restriction. Differential diagnostic considerations include low grade glioma, atypical multiple sclerosis or an inflammatory process.
Also, a 5mm pineal cyst.
